How does reverse osmosis work?

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that uses a semipermeable membrane to remove impurities, contaminants, and toxins from water. RO works by forcing water molecules through a membrane that is .001 microns, which blocks contaminants, leaving clean water on the other side while sending the contaminants away. To put this into perspective, household dust measures at 40 microns, which equates to 40,000x (times) BIGGER than what the membrane allows.

It’s commonly used in water filtration systems, desalination plants, and industries that require high-purity water.

How can I be sure the water is safe?

With the systems at PureFlow H2O, we have built in TDS meters that constantly test and measure your water quality. It’s also crucial to replace filters and membranes regularly. Talk to one of our professionals for the details.

Do you offer warranties?

PureFlow H2O will be in contact with you every year to help with the maintenance and service your equipment needs to ensure longevity. In addition, our equipment has a 10 year warranty.

What kind of maintenance is required with your equipment?

  • Add salt to the brine tank as needed
  • Annual service to replace filters and UV light bulb (if applicable)
  • Replace membranes every 7-10 years

What’s the difference between RO water and bottled water?

  • Most water bottle companies only filter the water, but they don’t purify it.
  • Some bottled water has gone through a Reverse Osmosis system. Then they package it into the plastic bottles. They charge a decent amount for the plastic bottle container, which has its own issues…but we won’t go down that rabbit hole just yet, and the convenience of being readily available. But if you think about it, is it more convenient to run to the store to buy a bottle of water or just turn your faucet on at your home?

What’s the difference between Filtration and Purification?

  • Filtration is the process of using filters, which pull out “some” but not all toxins from water. Purification utilizes systems that purify the water by pulling out virtually all toxins.
  • We believe having both filtration and purification systems is the best of both worlds because they complement each other. Filters enhance the lifespan of purification systems.

What are the benefits of RO systems?

  • When you remove toxins from your water, your body doesn’t have to utilize resources to fight those toxins and now has more resources to perform its proper functions.
  • Read the list of toxins that are currently found in your water, then read how those toxins destroy your body and your overall health.

Can toxins be absorbed through our skin?

  • YES, yes, and yes! I wish people understood this HUGE oversight. Our skin is very absorbent. Why do you think big companies create a patch for everything these days? Industries realized this oversight and have capitalized on it. If you want to quit smoking, put on a patch. If you want to lose weight, put on a patch. If you need a caffeine jolt, put on a patch.
  • Our bodies have a self-defense mechanism called stomach acid, which neutralizes most things we eat and/or drink. But when we shower or take a bath with unfiltered or unpurified water, we bypass that defense mechanism and absorb those toxins.
  • **DID YOU KNOW…We absorb more toxins in a 10 minute shower than we do drinking the same water for a month!!

Are your Purification systems expensive?

Refer to the benefits question above. Then ask yourself, “Do I consider my health expensive? Is my health worth investing in?”
